“19 with the Girlies”

Today’s my 19th Birthday! My artwork here features the three fandoms that I’ve been active with the most in the precious year until now. So of course I had to put Lily in here as Parker & Lane was basically the game that I was first active with when 2024 started. Then I got addicted to Genshin Impact and I really loved Navia (I still love Diluc too) so I had to feature her in the art. And then there’s Helena, my fave underrated Resident Evil girlie cuz ever since I got into the RE series I didn’t expect that she’d be my favorite again (considering RE was a part of my childhood since my siblings played this game and I remember that really liked Helena back then when they played RE6). As the months went by, my interest for Helena didn’t change and I still love her as a character so I thought it’d be time to include her in my birthday art.

I gotta be honest with ya’ll cuz I was worried that I might not be able to finish this artwork on time. This artwork literally took me two weeks to make (it even came to the point where I stayed up late night until early morning just for me to finish this), the reason why is because of drawing Navia. Since it’s my first time drawing Navia, she was very detailed so it took me hours (two days including the break) to sketch her but rendering her took the longest. Lily and Helena weren’t much of a problem for me considering they don’t have much details in their design but Navia just had lots of details on her clothes and her hat, but overall I enjoyed drawing her. Maybe in the future I might try to draw more Genshin characters~

I planned to share these on the main blog, but I haven't actually shared any art anywhere yet, and I think I need to chill a little on the main blog, lol.

I actually have a few old Smile Pretty Cure artworks and sketches that never went anywhere, but I couldn't possibly search for them all now. Besides, some might not be as pretty to look at or everyone's cup of tea.

For some context about the images that are about below: Yayoi Kise is a Sun Wukong fan, according to the movie! I had this bright idea to transport her to the Lego Monkie Kid world where she gets to meet a version of Sun Wukong. Admittedly, I don't know if she would have seen the characters as Legos or not... but I did make sketches of her with a block shaped head! Just to fit the style of the show. I thought it would have been fun.

Here are more "complete" drawings of LMK characters, plus my potential sona in the top right! Poor Red Son has no arms. Sorry, I gave up. At one point, I wanted to do an AU where Mei was playing Disney's Mulan! Alas, I dropped that, too. The last image was supposed to be the designs for a story about the Spider Queen and Sun Wukong having a fling of sorts prior to the events in the series. With the original number of sisters from Journey to The West. Scrap scrap scrap, I didn't do anything.

Generally speaking, I am pleased with these! Feels good to know I had some effort being made at some point before I stopped drawing for a while..

lowkey makes me sad sometimes because I feel like all the female fictional characters I love get wayyyy less love, recognition, fics/fanart than their male counterparts and it sucks!!

I’m victim of it too sometimes but like where is more love for the marauders girlies? Lucy Gray Baird? Johanna Mason? They’re all so iconic and all these fandoms don’t talk about it enough!!

What a truly delightful question, and as you may be able to tell, I love my dear friend, FBI Agent Todd McSweeten.

As for where he is now, I cannot remember if this is canon or if I just made this up and decided it was, but I am convinced that McSweeten kept moving up in the ranks of the FBI. Yeah, he was noticed by the higher-ups because of the Leverage team, but he is also good at his job. They helped him along but it mostly just highlighted the skill he actually has, if that makes sense. If not, I can, in fact, elaborate. I do think he sometimes looks a little closer at certain more complicated sites because she used to show up at the most random sites but also ones that were really complicated cases. I think he’s thought about her and tried to like…friend her on Facebook but was a little disappointed when he couldn’t find her but he found a woman who looks a lot like her…

I don’t think Parker ever felt romantic feelings for him but she does think of him rather fondly. In like a “Oh, McSweeten!! I love that guy!!! I should see how he is…” Like she thinks of him in this sweet nostalgic kind of endearing way.

Technically unfinished but it's complete enough.

For context in the AU, Kokushibo left because he felt Muzan made a poor deal. He had to spend so much time tending to him that he didn't have time to further develop his skills like he wanted. He would rather leave and risk death by slayers to have time to himself, so he did. He said he saw Yoriichi in town, and just left the day after.

Ofc he was proper and helpful to Muzan, since he considered it no different from working with other superiors in the past. The information and advice given to Muzan were professional obligations more than acts done out of genuine respect and devotion. In Muzan's eyes however, his skills and information were greater than any employee he'd previously had, so he assumed he was completely loyal based on how he was with him.

Also! Koku is not seeing a ghost, rather he has ideas of what Yoriichi thinks and acts like, which serve as a second opinion. He's mostly just visualizing what he imagines Yoriichi would do or tell him to do. Part of why he hunts down Yoriichi after running away is because he believes, even in some small insignificant way, that he will understand. If not, folly on his part, he will simply pass with the regrets when Yoriichi cuts him down. Luckily he does get to stay with him again, and the rest is history.

Prompt 5 - First Date

Remus was bricking it. He’d been set up on a date with some guy who was Lily’s boyfriend's old schoolmate. He’d apparently only recently come out and the Evans-Potters had decided they would be perfect together. There was a reason Remus was still happily single, but that damn Lily Evans had used those dazzling emerald eyes to trick him into agreeing on this date. He heaved a sigh and drank another mouthful of his beer just as the most beautiful man he’d ever seen walked into the restaurant. The greeter took his coat and led him towards the bar, straight towards Remus.

“Remus Lupin?” He asked. Remus’s eyelids began fluttering as his brain short-circuited. He screwed his eyes shut and shook his head, clearing it of the fog and thrust out his hand.

“Yes I am. Sirius?” He asked, neither Lily nor James had told him his last name.

“Yep, that’s me,” Sirius grinned back, taking Remus’s hand and giving it a firm shake, one that Remus would expect from a businessman and not the model before him.

“Your table is ready gentlemen,” A waitress told them before guiding them to a romantic table for two right in the window. Remus felt instantly more nervous as they would be completely on display there, but he was too scared to say anything.

“Er, sorry, but do you have something a bit less front and centre,” Sirius asked, shocking Remus. He’d expected Sirius to be fine with the attention. He really needed to learn not to assume things about people before he got to know them. The waitress's red-lipsticked smile faltered, but she recovered quickly before leading them to a table in a darker corner. “This is perfect, thank you,” Sirius flashed her his dazzling smile and they sat down. 

“Sorry about that,” Sirius began to apologise. Remus wondered if he was still nervous about being out in public with a man as he’d come out so recently, but no, Remus had assumed again. “There were already a few photographers gathering, and I wanted to actually enjoy our date,”

“I’m sorry what?” Remus asked, craning his neck to see out of the glass front, where there were in fact three people with cameras peering into the restaurant. One saw him and raised his camera. Remus quickly pulled his head back into the shadows, hoping the man hadn’t managed to snap a pic of him.

“Didn’t James tell you who I am?” Sirius asked, his brow furrowing. Remus shook his head.

“All they told me was your first name,” Sirius groaned and massaged his temples.

“Okay, let me introduce myself properly,” He sat up a little straighter as he began what sounded like a speech he’d had to make a few times. “My name is Sirius Orion Black. I am the heir, well, ex-heir, of the Noble House of Black. I recently came out, which is why I am the ex-heir and there are photographers, as this is the first time I’ve been seen in public since all the drama.” He sat back in his seat, his jaw tight and his eyes pinched as though he was waiting for Remus to explode and walk out.

“Damn, that’s a lot,” Remus blew out a breath and started laughing. After a second, Sirius joined in. “If someone had said something I’d have suggested meeting at mine and having a movie night and get a takeaway, less pressure then and none of those burkes,” Remus said, prodding his thumb in the direction of the photographers. 

“That sounds like such a good date,” Sirius whined.

“We can still do it if you like?” Remus offered. Sirius’s face lit up. He jumped up from his seat and offered his hand to Remus. Remus took it, and they ran out of the restaurant's back door. Racing down the street and jumping in the next black cab they saw. Remus gave his address, and then they were on their way. Both of them grinning ear to ear. Remus would have to thank the Evans-Potters, as so far, dating Sirius was thrilling and just what he needed.

deep down, buried beneath all the mistrust and second-guessing, remus knew, or thought he knew, that sirius would never do this. he could never do this to james. never james. the mere idea of sirius doing anything purposeful to hurt james is inconceivable.

yet here he is, sitting across from dumbledore in their– no, it's his flat now, being told just that. that sirius betrayed them, killed three of his closest friends, his only lasting friends.

marlene's dead. dorcas followed shortly after. mary obliviated herself, everything becoming too much. now sirius has killed james, lily, and peter, landing himself in azkaban.

he's all alone again.
